Vote No on AUMA Prop. 64. This massive poorly written 62 page piece of legislation was intentionally written that way so that the common man (who has very little time to spare to begin with) would not bother to attempt to read it in favor of reading bullet points, headlines, and bumper sticker slogans. (Legal pot! YEAAHHH!!!) The millionaires who wrote it are counting on it.
Cannabis possession is already virtually decriminalized in this state, medicinal and rec. Prop. 64 introduces a whole slateful of new offenses, while imposing harsh restrictions on how much one can grow or carry at any given point in time. It guts Prop. 215 and will draw medicinal users into the higher priced rec program. And in five years the doors will open to Big Corporations who will swallow up our small and midsize single and multigenerational growers who have been doing this as their primary source of income for years and decades. These people take this income and spend it in their own communities while you can be certain that the money Big Corporations will make will be going to fund some CEO's third vacation home or second yacht somewhere else.
Before you vote on this millionaire's boondoggle, please read it first, or at least this thorough summary. Some who have tried to read the entire text took long a weekend to do it, while this post below may take perhaps an hour.
